Unhappy Oil prices slip below $70 a barrel

Oil prices have tumbled by nearly $40 a barrel in just three weeks amid growing signs that demand for energy will slow along with weakening economies around the world. As recently as July, oil was trading at a record of $145 a barrel. The decline in oil prices could provide a form of stimulus to the economy as consumers pay less to fill up their tanks. If oil prices stay at current levels, consumers would have $250 billion more, over a year, to save or spend elsewhere, according to Lawrence Goldstein, an energy economist. Some analysts expect oil prices to keep declining, perhaps to as low as $50 a barrel in coming months.Americans will probably see lower energy bills this winter, as gasoline and heating oil futures also dropped sharply on Thursday. Gasoline prices now average $3.08 a gallon, down from a summer peak of $4.11 a gallon, according to AAA.The decline in oil prices came after a government report showed a larger than anticipated rise in domestic crude oil stockpiles as Americans use less oil, in part because they are driving less. In the past month, domestic oil demand has fallen to its lowest level since June 1999, at 18.6 million barrels a day, according to the Department of Energy.Oil settled down $4.69 a barrel at $69.85. The drop, along with other promising signs on the inflation front, was among the reasons investors bid stocks higher, with the Dow Jones industrial average closing up 401.35 points at 8,979.26.Natural gas prices have also tumbled since their summer peak of $13.58 per thousand cubic feet. On Thursday, natural gas futures rose 19 cents, to $6.81, after a report showed that stockpiles rose less than expected. While consumers may have reason to cheer the falling oil prices after such a sharp run-up, the wild roller coaster of volatility is a nightmare for oil producers and petroleum executives who say they need more stability to better plan long-term projects to develop new sources of oil.If they cannot be confident that they will get a stable return on their investment, they may hold back. That in turn could set the stage for possible shortages of oil and higher prices when global demand picks up again. The sharp drop-off has forced OPEC's hand. The cartel said just last week that it would meet in mid-November, after the United States elections. But on Thursday it rescheduled its emergency session for next Friday, Oct. 24.The cartel's producers, who control 40 percent of global experts, could curb their output by about a million barrels a day to try to stem the drop in prices, according to analysts. It is unclear what price range for oil the cartel wants to establish. But the meeting "sends a clear signal that OPEC is concerned about the speed with which oil prices are slipping away from a preferred price of around $80 a barrel," said Lawrence Eagles, an oil analyst at J.P. Morgan.Iran's oil minister, Gholamhossein Nozari, told reporters in Tehran on Tuesday, "I think the low price is a real damage to the future of production."_____________________________warhammer online gold buy warhammer online gold cheap warhammer online gold warhammer online money from: JUST4GOLD EVE ISK |WOW GOLD - Warhammer Online Gold | buy warhammer online gold | Warhammer Online Money | WHO Gold

Warhammer online is the full name of this game ,warhammer always abbreviation of war ,so warhammer power leveling often called war power leveling, and in fact. All war power leveling, warhammer online power leveling, warhammer online power leveling is the same meaning ,so here not to puzzle with this.I tell him to top up my original account for the$15 time card, and then spend$30 buying a new world of warcraft cd key Opps…..my god! However, he doesn’t get it. He asked me what my account is. At that time, maybe I have a confused mind. Unhappy world of warcraft gold

I have watched as friends from older games and guild-mates have struggled with the technical bugs that cause so many problems for the players. In the end early success is important but it is the life of the game that matters. WOW GoldBuy WOW GoldCheap WOW GoldWOW GoldBuy wow gold

Cool WTO chief trying to avert economic crisis

It is a good artical and helpful for me to read it.There is a short story as follows:The World Trade Organization (WTO) will coordinate with member economies to avoid protectionism and help the global economy tide over the fast-expanding financial crisis, the global trade body's chief said Sunday.fWorld Trade Organisation (WTO) director general French Pascal Lamy gestures during a press conference in Geneva, in this July 2008 file photo. The World Trade Organisation chief invited heads of development and commercial banks to a meeting in Geneva next month to discuss the impact of the economic crisis on trade finance. [Agencies] "The primary role of the WTO at this moment is to serve as an insurance policy against protectionism; especially for developing countries, whose expansion relies very much on trade," Pascal Lamy, director-general of the WTO, told China Daily in an exclusive interview.Admitting the financial crisis would inevitably hit international trading, he said global trade is being protected by commitments made by WTO members."We see the big difference between the financial system and the trade system worldwide, which is that in trade we have rules, we have commitments and we have regulations," he said.He cited the Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s, during which no protectionist measure was enacted and Southeast Asian countries pulled themselves out of the mire mostly through international trade. The WTO chief also urged countries to make sure the financial crisis does not hurt trade finance: Around 90 percent of the $14 trillion worth of trade is financed by trade credits. Trade finance is relatively unsophisticated, and deals are clearly and concretely collateralized with the cargoes. The WTO created a taskforce last week to look into the effects of the financial crisis.Lamy added the crisis' impact on the Doha Round of world trade negotiations "remains to be seen".Trade ministers from over 30 major WTO members failed in July to narrow their differences on agriculture, trade and industrial market access, leading to a collapse of the talks.Lamy said the impact of the financial crisis on the talks might be "minus" because people's minds are concentrated on financial areas rather than trade, but it might be "plus" because countries would have to make sure their insurance policy is good.___________________________________from:age of conan goldcheap Dofus KamasEVE ISKDofus Kamasworld of warcraft gold

Thumbs up China-made regional jet launched for flight

The Chinese-made regional jet, Modern Ark (MA) 60 was launched for the maiden domestic commercial flight in the northern port city of Tianjin on Sunday. An MA 60 plane is seen at the Tianjin Binhai International Airport for the Chinese-made regional jet's maiden domestic commercial flight on October 19, 2008. [Photo: China Foto Press] Carried by Okay Airways, the flight marked the start of the domestic commercial operation of MA 60, said Xu Chaoquan, senior official with the General Administration of Aviation. It also marks the breaking of the foreign-made airplane's monopoly in China.Produced by the Xi'an Aircraft Industry Company (XAC), a major Chinese aircraft producer, MA 60 is designed for short and medium-range commuter services. China owns the independent Intellectual Property Rights.Related readings: First homegrown regional jet delays maiden flight China's first home-grown regional jet rolls off production line Over 70 orders placed on China's regional jet ARJ-21 Due to its low operational and maintenance costs, MA 60 has been sold quite well in Africa and southeast Asia since 2005. To meet the rising domestic demand for regional jets, the Beijing-based Okay Airways and the Kunming-based Ying An Airlines gave XAC orders for 10 and 60 MA 60 planes respectively last year.So far XAC has received orders and intention contracts for 136 MA 60 planes from the clients at home and abroad.China is expected to need 800 regional jets in the following 20 years. XAC said it would enhance the MA 60 output while promoting MA 600 in the market and accelerating the development of MA 700 so as to foster the regional jet brand of MA series.
